Common Terms

Before-School Care: Refers to care before school from 7:30 to 8:15 AM. Students do have to be signed up to use this program. Sample activities include reading, coloring, games, and other group work. Learn more here.

After-School Care: Refers to a program where students can stay after school from 3:30 until 5:30 PM (or whenever a parent arrives). Activities include outside play, reading, and other group work. Learn more about the program here.

BEST: This is an after-school study hall for middle school students who have siblings in elementary school. They can attend from 2:45 (MS dismissal) until 3:30 PM and are then dismissed with their elementary siblings. This cost is included in middle school tuition.

Moms In Prayer: This is a BCCS prayer group that meets Monday mornings to pray for our school and community. Learn more here.

Paper Gator: The green Paper Gator dumpster is in the back parking lot of both BCCS campuses. Anyone is invited to place newspapers, catalogs, magazines, junk mail, phone books, paperboard, and office or school paper in the container. The materials are recycled and the school receives a refund. Please no plastic, metal, trash, glass, or cardboard.

Educational Support Services (ESS): This department of teachers and staff ensures all types of learners can succeed in the classrooms at BCCS. Every student has a unique learning package, and this team helps each student succeed.

School Board: Our school board is a group of appointed parents that oversees the school and its long-term goals and vision.
