Continuous Enrollment
Every year, over 95% of our families return to BCCS. We use Continuous Enrollment (CE). In essence, once you enroll, you will sign up for CE and never have to re-enroll or pay an enrollment fee again!
Frequently Asked Questions
+ What is re-enrollment at BCCS?
Re-enrollment is an annual data collection process we use to update enrollment records of the current student body. This information is used as the school makes plans for the following school year. It also allows us to have accurate records to serve each family and student.
+ Why does re-enrollment matter?
For planning and budgeting purposes, we need to know how many students to plan for on the first day of school. It allows our leadership team and school board to plan ahead. We take the stewardship of tuition dollars entrusted to us very seriously. We want to invest these tuition dollars wisely so that we can provide the best education possible for BCCS students.
+ I have no plans to change schools and everyone comes back anyway...why do I have to fill this out every year?
Up until this point, re-enrollment has been an ‘opt-in’ program. We currently ask every family, “Are you coming back?” In a sense, it was an inefficient way to organize enrollment. In 2019, for instance, we retained 98% of our K-8 student body. So EVERYONE had to go through re-enrollment for the sake of the 2% that, for one reason or another, left our school community.
By signing your Continuous Enrollment contract, you will be flipping that script. Rather than an opt-IN annual re-enrollment process, BCCS’s annual re-enrollment will become an opt-OUT process. In other words, if you’re coming back after signing your “Continuous Enrollment Contract,” you’ll never have to worry about completing enrollment forms again.
+ What is Continuous Enrollment (CE)?
Once all of our families are in “Continuous Enrollment” (by signing the Continuous Enrollment Contract), the typical re-enrollment season (January through March) will simply be a communication reminder from the Enrollment Coordinator reminding families to update information on Family Portal and informing the families that might be thinking about leaving our school to notify us prior to the end of March. That means almost all families can ignore that message and do absolutely nothing.
+ What is the penalty if I break the contract?
One month of tuition.
BCCS families that are re-enrolled, but break the contract by un-enrolling their students after March 31, will be contractually obligated to pay one month of tuition. While this penalty may seem steep, some schools require a semester or even a year of tuition once a family is enrolled for the following year.
+ What if my plans change due to unique circumstances?
We’ve built flexibility into this contract. So, for major life changes/unique circumstances like moving 15+ miles away from our school, if BCCS can no longer meet your child’s educational needs, or if there is some unforeseen circumstance that our school board approves, there will be no financial penalty.
+ How is CE different from years prior?
Continuous Enrollment is a once-and-for-all process. Once you sign your Continuous Enrollment Contract, you’ll never have to deal with re-enrollment again (unless your family plans change). Again, “Set it, and forget it!” In the event that things do change, you’ll have until the end of March every year to simply notify the Enrollment Office and face absolutely no penalty.
+ What do I get out of this?
SIMPLICITY. Continuous Enrollment eliminates the annual re-enrollment process and paperwork involved. GUARANTEED PLACEMENT. With increasing enrollment, we are at or near capacity in many of our grades. Placement in next year’s class is an increasingly sought-after spot. By enrolling now, you will be securing your child’s spot in his/her class until graduation.
+ What does the contract look like?

+ What if my information changes (address, phone numbers, church, etc.)?
Each family will have access to their Family Portal, where all that information is kept. Simply log in to your account and make any changes from there. The school directory, calendar, and middle school grades/homework are here as well.
